The challenge
The entrance area and the ground floor of the 96-metre-high IJsseltoren tower has undergone major renovation and modernization. With the creation of an inviting central space, a warm and accessible environment has been achieved for the new tenants.
As part of the new look of the entrance area, Pleijsier Bouw commissioned Copijn to design and install a 5-metre-high ‘Copijn Wonderwall’ located by the informal sitting nook. To accommodate the precise and automatic irrigation of the Copijn Wonderwall, HB Watertechnologie supplied and installed an Irrigation Unit with an iMC Box.
Our approach
Copijn opted for a selection of plants for this striking green wall, including Spathiphyllum and Nephrolepsis. The idea behind the selected plants was to make use of their – very relevant – air-purifying traits. The irrigation method specified by HB Watertechnologie consists of the latest technology in the area of integrated nutrient feeding systems and remotely controlled measuring and regulation techniques – the iMC Box.
The result
A spectacular Copijn Wonderwall that can be monitored remotely thanks to the various sensors. HB Watertechnologie also carries out the complete maintenance of the Copijn Wonderwall, ensuring consistent quality.
